A Killing Field - Ward 87, City General Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent

The damning evidence of neglect and incompetence on Ward 87 of City General Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent is clearly shown in this internal report into the concerns raised by Dr Rita Pal.

The Trust refused to provide Dr Pal with a copy of this report for almost 8 years, and even now have refused to provide her with a complete copy of the document. Large sections are redacted (blanked out) - ostensibly to comply with the Data Protection Act.

Yet a complete copy of this document has been provided to the General Medical Council in connection with Dr Pal's complaint against Professor Rod Griffiths, on the understanding that it shall not be given to Dr Pal. No such restriction has been placed upon Professor Griffiths, who has received a complete copy of this document from the GMC.
