Madonna Causes Establishment to Close Ranks on NHS
Reputation NHS EXPOSED would like to congratulate Madonna on the birth of her new baby boy born in the United Stated of America . The father is British but the hospital is not ! We applaud the choice made by Madonna given the recent disaster of the Portland Hospital in the Touche case . The Guardian wrote "when Madonna declared that British hospitals were unfit for her to give birth in " She stated in Los Angeles radio station Kiss FM: "Come on now, have you been to hospitals in England? They're old and Victorian." "She said she did not like the thought of complications caused by giving birth in a foreign country. "It's always strange to be in hospitals, to see doctors, in another country as everybody has a slightly different way of dealing with things," she continued, before adding: "I like efficiency." The Department of Health refused to comment and stated . "We wish Madonna well and the very best of luck," was its response. The Royal College of Midwives conceded that Madonna had a point. Its midwifery adviser, Vicki Allanach, said: "We do need to bring all hospitals up to the standards of the best for all women. Mothers-to-be do need to be confident that they will have ready access to expert care from midwives throughout their pregnancy." Colin Russell, a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who sits on the BMA's central consultants and specialists committee, said Madonna was out of date. "There's been a tremendous period of hospital building in this country - and even those which have kept their Victorian facades in place have facilities which are superb." Philip Hammond, the Tory health spokesman, said: "She's making a generalisation that isn't valid. Parts of the NHS are well below speed but, just because some of the buildings are old, it's not true to say the service isn't excellent. She's being ignorant - and the NHS doesn't need prima donnas." NHS EXPOSED feels that both the BMA and the Tory Health Spokesman are out of date themselves . Madonna is to be congratulated for her choice to choose a safer environment for the birth of her baby . We would like to thank Madonna for bringing this issue into the forefront of the British media . The establishment have not supported her but this will serve to improve healthcare for patients who have lost their lives such as Mrs Touche and many others. Madonna unlike some people is not afraid of Freedom of Expression something England has not quite got used to as yet . Best wishes from NHS Exposed for her new baby . We wish them well and a safe return to the United Kingdom .
